Caregiver consultations for your child or young person.

We provide a space for parents to explore concerns around their child with a Clinical Psychologist.

About the service

Our Caregiver Consultation Service is designed for parents and caregivers seeking guidance on mental health or developmental issues or concerns affecting children and adolescents.

During your online consultation, space will be provided to talk through and explore your concerns with a Clinical Psychologist. We will then provide evidence-based guidance and advice as well as our suggestions for next steps going forward.

Our suggestions may look like directive guidance around ways of responding to or managing your concern, or we may recommend further assessment or an onward referral to another specialist service. We may also advise you not to pursue a formal assessment of your child if we believe an assessment is not required.

In the event that a formal assessment is required, we will deduct the price of the consultation from the total price of the assessment.

We can help you explore topics including:

  • Child and Adolescent Development: Considering differences in your child’s social, emotional or behaviour development.
  • Anxiety & Emotional Well-being: Understanding and responding to anxiety, fears, and stresses in your child or young person.
  • Navigating Services: Guidance on applying for and accessing services like Primary Care, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, and Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT).
  • Significant Life Events: Assistance with adjusting to, or discussing with your child, big or significant life events, such as parental separation or divorce, illness, or bereavement.

Cost: €270
